Does the Howard University Center for Sickle Cell Disease Have Unmet Financial Needs?
The Center receives at present no federal support for its general operation although some research projects are paid for through
grant money. Howard University is able to provide support for essential personnel and infrastructure but cannot currently supply programmatic funding. Thus, for the community outreach, testing, counseling, education and some research projects and some personnel, monetary donations from individuals and from organizations are urgently needed. All such donations are tax-deductible and will be acknowledged. Donations may be sent to:
