About Candrice R. Heath

Dr. Candrice Heath received her undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University and her medical degree from the University of Virginia. She completed a Pediatric internship at SUNY Downstate, Pediatric residency training at Emory University, Dermatology training at Mt. Sinai-St. Luke’s-Roosevelt in New York City, and Pediatric Dermatology Fellowship training at Johns Hopkins.

Dr. Heath is an Associate Professor in the Howard University Department of Dermatology in Washington, DC. She is a nationally recognized speaker, pediatric and adult dermatology clinical researcher and has held a variety of leadership roles including Chair for the Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance Skin of Color and Pigmentary Disorders Focused Group, Skin of Color Society National Secretary-Treasurer, and American Academy of Dermatology Diversity Committee member.

She is also the recipient of a 2022 Career Development Award, the Robert A. Winn Diversity in Clinical Trials Award, established by the Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation and a 2023 Skin of Color Society Career Development Award.
