Continuing Education

The Continuing Professional Education Program (CPEP) sponsors and co-sponsors various pharmacy-practice-based courses at the local level, regional and national level. The program partners with various organizations assist the metropolitan area’s pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in meeting licensure requirements while advancing their practices.

The mission of the Howard University College of Pharmacy CPE Program is to promote professional development of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and other professionals in the field of pharmacy, in various practice settings, with an emphasis on educational programs that focus on drug therapy management, public health and patient safety.

To achieve the mission statement of the Howard University College of Pharmacy CPE Program, we will strive to meet the following measurable goals:

  1. To impact pharmacy practice in a variety of settings
  2. To impact drug therapy management in your practice
  3. To impact patient safety in your practice
  4. To impact public health in your practice

CPE Monitor: New Requirement to Track your CPE
Important new requirement from the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education and the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy for all pharmacists and technicians who obtain CPE credit. The CPE Monitor system will securely track all your completed CPE credits in a central system.
