The Republic of Congo Delegation Visits Howard
A delegation from the Republic of Congo were guests of honor at the Howard University Center for Sickle Cell Disease on September, 29 2015. The visit was followed by an international collaboration meeting and luncheon at the Louis Stokes Health Science Library.
The intent of the meeting is to strengthen the relationship between the Sickle Cell Center in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, and the Howard University's Center for Sickle Cell Disease. The Foundation Congo Assistance organization delegation included: Blandine Malila, Chief of staff of the First Lady; Michel Mongo, Secretary General; Dr. Thalance Malonga, Chief Project of the Foundation; Alexis Elira, Director of Congo Hospital’s Health Ministry; Mayanda Herve, Chief of the health department; Dr. Bodzongo, Chief of Social Aid; Patrice Bebeni, Chief of Communication; Chriss Portella, representative of the Foundation in the US, the representatives of the Sickle Cell Center at Brazzaville, four journalists and representatives from the Embassy of the Republic of Congo.
